The Benevolent Fund was established to help residents offset the cost of essential in-home care. Many residents require services such as housekeeping, meal preparation, bathing assistance, or medication reminders that allow residents to age in place safely and with dignity. Currently, as many as 20% of our residents receive this type of care.

While some residents qualify for financial assistance through the County Waivers and Options Program, many are unable to afford their required portion of the cost. In addition, long waiting lists prevent some residents from accessing these services at all. We have found that this additional support can significantly extend the length of time a resident is able to live independently and can help prevent premature admission to a nursing home.

When these needs arise, Advanced Living uses reserves from the Benevolent Fund to help cover the cost of care. This support is vital to our residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being, and it enables them to remain active members of our community.

For hundreds of low-income seniors, Advanced Living Communities is a place to call home. Contributions to the Benevolent Fund help ensure they can remain in their homes for as long as possible. Donations may be made payable to Advanced Living Management & Development.
